About Us
A Kiwi family business, built around one pair of sore hands
We're a small family business based in Devonport, New Zealand. ComfortFlex started because of my granddad.
He watched someone he loved struggle with painful, stiff hands. Holding a mug. Opening a jar. Doing up buttons. The everyday stuff most of us never think about, suddenly a battle. He wasn't the sort of man to sit and watch, so he went looking for something that would help.
That search turned into a pair of compression gloves. Then a pair of compression socks. Then a small business run off the kitchen table.
Why we ended up in socks
Once word got around, people started asking about their legs and feet, not just their hands.
Nurses coming off a twelve-hour shift. Builders on concrete all day. Someone flying Auckland to Heathrow with legs like balloons by Dubai. Retirees who just want to get through a full day in the garden without paying for it that night.
It's the same problem, further down. So we went and found compression socks we'd actually put on our own family — proper graduated compression, decent stitching, and a fit that holds up after a dozen washes instead of turning into a sad elastic band.
What you can expect from us
We choose everything ourselves. We don't list a product until someone in the family has worn it for a few weeks. If it slips, itches, or falls apart, it doesn't go on the site.
Straight-up pricing in NZ dollars. No pretend discounts, no "was $199, now $19.99" nonsense. The price you see is the price.
NZ-wide delivery. Orders are processed weekly from our supplier and go out from Auckland warehouse, normal delivery times are generally 1 to 2 weeks from ordering.
A real person on the other end. Email hello@comfortflex.shop and you'll get one of us, not a call centre. If the size is wrong, tell us and we'll sort it — see our returns policy.
We're honest about what these do
Compression garments aren't magic and we won't pretend otherwise. They won't cure arthritis and they won't fix a vein problem.
What good compression can do is help your hands and legs feel better supported through a long day. If you've got a diagnosed condition, have a chat with your GP or physio about what pressure rating suits you — and if you tell us what they recommend, we'll help you find it.
From our family to yours
We're not trying to be the biggest sock shop in the country. We're trying to be the one that actually gives a damn about the person putting them on in the morning.
Thanks for supporting a small Kiwi business, and for letting my granddad's idea keep helping people.
